Summer Vacation Unit - Dialogue Performance

Part 3:  ともだちの夏休み

Use information you've learned this unit to write a dialogue with your partner about your summer vacation. Base the conversation on a trip you have taken or would like to have taken during summer vacation. You will be asked to perform this dialogue in front of the class. Conversations must include the criteria below and will be assessed on their content and performance quality.

Dialogues should...
1. A minimum of 5 questions asked and answered.

2. Include a short follow-up question after some response (and youノhow was thatノetc.)

3. Equal speaking time for each partner with both asking and answering questions.

4. Include information on places visited, when the trip took place, with whom they traveled, how long something took, 2 adjectives and things a person did while on vacation.

5. Be performed from memory and with comprehension.


Your dialogue performance will be assessed in the following areas.

A: Communicative Skills: Showing an understanding for the other speakers and building this into the conversation

B: Length and Situation: Accomplishes a Task as Directed by the Teacher

C: Accuracy of language: Authentic and Appropriate Use of Language

D: Fluency: Natural Speed and Interchange of Communication Initiation and Response
