The panelists will review the state of publishing in the foreign language field, with a focus on Japanese. Participants will describe the current state of textbook and course materials publishing as well as of research dissemination both in print and on-line; predict the future of publishing in the foreign language field; and offer advice to teachers and scholars who wish to have their work reach the widest possible audience.
Nakayama, the editor of the "Journal of Japanese Linguistics," will discuss that journal's content and policies.
